CHALLENGES:

Implementation of applications from SAP, SAP AG is a key corporate strategy of Sanofi Aventis. Over the years, the company has developed a corporate template project, employing an internal team of consultants, who successfully implemented the template globally.

Nevertheless, Sanofi-Aventis also understands the importance and the need to address and meet their local requirements for accounting and tax accounting. To achieve this goal, the company was interested in collaborating with a local IT provider whohad knowledge of local news. Specifically one who could provide professional consulting needed to implement all necessary requirements into the system.

SOLUTION:

The Work Plan for implementation and adaptation of SAP FI included such tasks as:
  • Configuration for Kazakhstan’s Chart of Accounts and its connection with the corporate Chart of Accounts
  • Configuration for Tax Accounting: VAT, NID, and tax accounting of fixed assets
  • Operations functionality for the financial period closing and cash transactions
  • Configuration and testing of integration with external applications –inclusive of electronic bank statements, salary and other local applications
  • Creating a development set for Kazakhstani accounting and tax reporting

RESULTS:

The project successfully met not only the international corporate system requirements, but also all local accounting
and tax requirements. All of the financial transactions and accounts are now maintained by one corporate system,
thereby reducing the time and effort of manual entry and reconciliation of data between a number of systems. In
addition, KM Ware also look part in the complex testing of this clients business process, training of its end users, and
preparation of user manuals.
